This morning Mark and Joanne met with Ann at the Rotherham Hospice to hand over a cheque for £2250.00. This is money raised from various events held by the Friends of Yellowman including the recent golf day and the bush tucker trial to name a few.
This is the first experience I have had of visiting a place which cares for people with cancer and I have to say it isn’t what I expected. It didn’t smell like a hospital and patients coming in for their day care visits were smiling and obviously felt very comfortable with the environment, which along with the staff is warm and welcoming.
The Friends of Yellowman are very proud to be supporting such a worthy local charity, knowing we are helping local people.
